| 10th East Coast Invitational Golf ‘08 24.08.08 |

First timer, Mr Mark Lim, a 10-handicapper who resided in Vancouver, Canada, scored a total of 38 points to emerge as the overall Champion in the 10th East Coast Invitational golf tournament held at Damai Golf & Country Club on the 24th August, 2008. Second placing goes to Tuan Haji Alias Mail, a senior Customs officer who posted 37 points (OCB). Last year’s defending champion, Encik Abang Maludin Bin Abang Oren, also a senior Customs officer, managed only the third placing with a similar score of 37 points. This year’s event was organized solely and exclusively for East Coast’s corporate clients which include Dr Ngenang Anak Janggu, Permanent Secretary of MID, Mr Masakazu Koga, President of SECA & MD of Taiyo Yuden, Mr N. Umetsu, MD of Toko Electronics, Mr Mark Gable, MD of Sanmina-SCI and a host of representatives from the electronics companies, VIP invitees from selected government ministries/departments, airlines, agents/partners and friends. Some of the golfers came all the way from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bintulu. At the sumptuous prize-giving lunch, Mr Michael Tan, MD of East Coast, expressed his thanks and gratitude to all the golfers for their participation and overwhelming support. Also present was East Coast Directors, Mr Michael Lee, Mr Gahan Bawin and other senior staff. |
